MESSAGE REGARDING CANCELLATION

For those who were there for BroFest 2008, and for those who hoped to be, we apologize - for the disappoint, which we share, and for all other inconveniences. Despite the great efforts of many involved, the venue was ultimately found to fall short of fire regulation standards. While even the fire marshall hoped we could, in the end, go on with the show, safety remained the number one concern.

As you may know, BroFest was created following the passing of Nicholas Hurlbut in 2006. The money raised goes to the Nicholas Hurlbut Memorial Fund, which supports the Carpenter Hospice, a Burlington institution dedicated to helping the terminally ill with comfort, care and dignity. BroFest 2007 saw even more money raised to this end. Our hopes for BroFest 2008 were even higher, and remain so.

The concert is currently being rescheduled. While we're not yet able to declare a date, we're confident it will be bigger and better than ever. Please join us in passing over this recent disappointment and moving toward another great concert and another after that. In Nick's memory, we'll continue raising money and supporting the hospice until the work is done.

Take care, keep it together,
The BroFest Team
